My Anniversary

March 31, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Today is Sheldon and my 26th Wedding Anniversary!

As I remember back to the very day , I could barely sleep the night before because I knew when I woke up ; it would be our wedding day! I was too excited to sleep.

I was only 19 years old, I had moved here from Macon Georgia. I lived in Sheldons parents basement for a month before we got married.

My dress was hanging up all ready to be gotten into and I had all my makeup, hair stuff on the vanity next to the mirror. My mother had paid for my dress. It wasn’t a new dress because we could not afford a brand new dress. I didn’t care- I grew up with hand me downs and used clothes. It fit me like a T. I was a little lady at 92 pounds and was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a dress that fit me.

The morning of my wedding; I got up , got ready and had a nice lady from Sheldons church come and do my hair. ( Thanks Sheri- you did a great job!)

My brides maids I got to know when I visited Sheldon during our long distance relationship. I would come up to Ontario every now and than ; and Sheldon would visit me in GA every 3 months. Sheldons groomsmen were friends of his and their wives were my bridesmaids.

We called each other and talked on the phone at least once a week. Actually, Sheldon would call me every Sunday. I wrote him love letters by the week! I’m sure his mom thought I was a nut job because sometimes the Post would put 2 or 3 letters some days in the mailbox; because of the backlog I guess. ?

The day we got married was a little on the cold side. Our wedding was at 2:30pm and my bridesmaids thought it was funny to make me a little late to my own wedding.:) thanks girls…me, being right on time or usually early to every thing I go too– kept asking them ” Are you sure its okay to be late?”…

It was a beautiful wedding; Sheldons dad married us and we had our neice read 1 Corinthians 13 about LOVE. ( Thanks Kristi)  We had  some nice singing specifically dedicated and written for us. ( Thanks Duane G).  I didn’t know a lot of the people in the audience. I looked back at the video that a kind man( thanks Duane) from their church did for us , and I know who the people are now but the day, I was wondering ,” Where did all these people come fro

There were tons of pictures that were taken, there was a lot of food eaten. It was a great day!

Thanks to Sheldons family who did most of the work . From decorating and organizing stuff.

Thanks Sheldon for picking me to be your wife. We have had some wonderful times, special times, times where we laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants, times of sadness- times of surprises…times of joy.

I look forward to so much more .

I love our relationship with GOD. We always put him first and trust in Him to take care of us. I love your relationship with Jesus.

Thank you for teaching me so much.

love , Judy

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
