Still cloudy but change is on the way!

cloudy

Today I was watching the weather on the news. The news reporter said ” Its still cloudy but change is on the way!” and I thought hm….. ” good blog material!”

Recently , in the past  4-6 months, I have heard from a lot of people who are going through some cloudy skies . Maybe we all go through some rough cloud over patches and while your in them , it seems like it will never end !.

Here are a few Idioms that could describe how people have been feeling lately with some stuff in their life.

Cloud Under-

Cloud of suspicion-

Get your head out of the clouds-

Every cloud has a silver lining-

On cloud nine-

A cloud on the horizon-

Look at each of those; which one fits with what you have been experiencing this past half year in your life?.

I have felt there is a shift ( a change) coming to the church , to the atmosphere now for a year or more- maybe year and a half. I think it is almost upon us and I say to you- be ready; be prepared.

Come out from under the cloud- into the SON! Let His rays of love  cover you.

There is probably more I could say but Ill let God do that; ask Him, today.

Take care,

Judy

The Cross , in my pocket.

thecrossinmypocket

Hi everyone,

Have you ever seen one of these ? It’s called ” The Cross In My Pocket”.

Someone made me this many many years ago and I have treasured it since I got it! Its a small piece of plastic with a woven cross onto it ; but it also has a pocket in the back and a paper in that pocket.

On the paper it says:  ” I carry a cross in my pocket , a simple reminder to me; of the fact that I am a Christian , no matter where I may be.

This little cross is not magic , nor is it a good luck charm; it’s simply an understanding between my savior and me.

When I put my hand in my pocket to bring out a coin or a key, the cross is there to remind me of the price he paid for me.

It reminds me too, to be thankful for my blessings day by day and to strive to serve Him better in all that I do and say.

It’s also a daily reminder of the peace and comfort I share, with all who know my master and give themselves to His care.

So, I carry a cross in my pocket , reminding no one but me, that JESUS CHRIST is Lord of my life if only ill let Him be.”

Isn’t that cool? I really like my cross ! I see it every single day- I have placed it at a place where I go every day and as soon as I look at it ; it reminds me of all that Jesus did for me on the cross , so long ago. I am thankful for His blood that washes away all my sins, I am thankful for all that He went through so that I could be forgiven and set free!

He did that for all of us ; not just me, and I believe He would do it again ; even if it was just for one of us! because He loves us, He loves me and He loves you.

Do you love Jesus? Do you remember the cross and all that means? Its not just a story to tell at Easter, no , its so much more!.

I was sharing with some people on Sunday and this week how , I know we all have stuff we carry – junk stuff. Well, every day I go to the foot of the Cross and I lay all my baggage there- and how one drop of Jesus blood cleanses it like that!!! Just one drop. Think about that.

Remember the cross today. If you have junk your carrying ; go to the foot of the cross and leave it there.  Just dump the junk. His blood cleanses it all. You don’t have to be carrying around a heavy burden! Not at all!

Remember He is Risen ! Remember He lives in you and He lives in me; if you have invited Him into your heart.

I am grateful for the cross.

Blessings,

Judy

On Route

onroute

Recently , I have been travelling and have taken the time to stop at different : “On Route “rest stops. Ontario has wonderful rest areas! These On Routes have the typical gas station, Tim Hortons, A&W, Taco Bell, KFC, the washrooms of course and even a small market- where you can get fruit etc…

Sorry, my fellow Americans; but Ontario has the best rest areas I’ve ever been too!

At the Rest Area you can rest as long as you want, get a bite to eat, kick back and talk, laugh with your travel mates, walk around the green grass or sit in the sun on the outside tables and chairs. I really like On Routes! I like to just sit in the sun ( depending on the weather ), and I put my feet up and am so thankful for that very moment.

Then, I started thinking : Life.  How we are going about in our life , doing our daily activities: working, taking care of our families, going out with friends, fishing, going to church, working out, shopping, whatever it is that you do…

I started wondering if we take the time to stop at ” Gods Rest Area”?. Do you?

The business of life sometimes has us going around in circles ; doing the same thing day in and day out , that we may forget taking time to stop at Gods Rest Area. The place that we can sit in His Son shine, Drink in the River of Life- His new wine, Eat from His banqueting table, Rest in His arms, Laugh and talk with God. Have you done that lately?

Did you forget that there is even a Gods Rest Area?

No matter what “weather” you are currently experiencing, you can always go to God. He is waiting for us, wanting to talk with us, laugh with us, share His heart with you, with me.

Take the time to rest your weary legs ; and just sit and breathe. Let the goodness of God wash over you and restore you, today!!!!

Be blessed,

Judy

Lazy Summer

lazysummereve

Hey Y’all,

Sorry , I have been on holidays and I haven’t written in here for a few weeks, but I have several ideas floating around and will get to them this week.

I hope you all are enjoying the summer?. I have ! I forget how much fun it is to have a change of scenery and just take my time.

I hope you each can find solitude wherever you are and whatever you choose to do in this season.

Canada truly is a beautiful country! I have learnt to take time just to capture each moment wherever I am and whatever I am doing, to be greatful for my surroundings and thankful for the people in my life.

Blessings and I will post a few blogs hopefully this week.

Enjoy the rest of the summer everyone!,

Judy
